CrashMeTwice

Hi, welcome to my piece of the web!

For the most part, this website details the enjoyment I get out of flying, modding, and tinkering my Flight Controls, and accessories.

I am transforming my office into my ultimate personal and a well- rounded extraordinarily playground capable of meeting a wide variety of needs, from running everyday work loads to serving as a base for my flight simulator hobby.

A hybrid office simpit that allows me not only to work and edit my photos and videos but also allows me to spend time in DCS World which is my preferred flight simulator.

Stay  if you like, leave if you must, enjoy while you're here.
In any case, thanks for stopping by!

Please check out my videos and playlist on YouTube.

Greetings Pilots and Friends!

I am so excited that you've landed on my web page and are interested in joining my community of flight sim enthusiasts!

When I am not in my office-simpit you will find me in my workshop or in the garage as these are my places to find inspiration and peace. It's also were I have created the many mods for my simpit.

Your continued support is much appreciated!

Latest Completed Projects

10-05-2023 | USB3 Dual Panel Rack

Having multiple switchable USB hubs leaves the problem on how to make them accessible without lot's of cable clutter. I decided on making a small rack for them to be mounted on and illuminate the hub's from above.
With this project completed, I now have the ability to switch on or off all of my controllers without hassle.

09-08-2023 | Viper Grip Repair

My ANT ELEV know/thumb dial was wobbling and ran over the stop points and I couldn't feel the center indent either. Took the entire Viper grip apart and I found the issue with the antenna elevation knob/dial.

To fix the issue I have machined a brass bushing for it. It was a lot of work and measuring to get this right.
Now, both stop positions as well as the center position do engage correctly and everything works as smooth as Chinese butter.

09-07-2023 | WINWING Orion F-16EX Throttle Combo Mount

In DCS I am flying exclusively rotary wing aircraft, meaning helicopters, and don't require a throttle.
However, I also fly Elite Dangerous which is the definitive massively multiplayer open world space sim. Even Star Citizen on the free fly weekends is a blast.
I wanted a new throttle to replace an old tech Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS Throttle for the space sims but experiencing the limits of the aging Thrustmaster controller especially with the key bindings in space sims. Check it out

10-25-2022 | Cyclic Force Trim Mod for VIRPIL MongoosT-50CM2 Base

Latest update: 12-21-2023 - To my limited knowledge, in many helicopters a cyclic trim function involves a set of magnetic clutches which hold the cyclic in a given position, but can be moved against springs. Press the button, the clutches release, release the button, they re-engage to whatever position you've moved the cyclic while you were holding the button down. A beeper trim (or coolie hat or Chinese hat) will slowly reposition the clutches in whichever direction you move the hat. This is what I try to achieve by modding my VIRPIL MongoosT-50CM2 Base. This project is based on the above assumption. Check it out
